East Rock Park is one of New Haven's oldest and has walking trails, a rose garden and athletic fields. New Haven Green is the property of all New Haven residents and is the focal point for the historic district. It is the site of three 17th Century churches and a popular meeting place.

Lighthouse Point Park
A popular place among locals, the Lighthouse Point Park is open year-round from 7am to sunset. Amenities include a fishing pier, a public boat launch, picnic tables, pavilion rentals, a summer concession, a playground and a carousel. The area is also known for its birdwatching opportunities.
